Outline of Annual Research Achievements

The impact of microstructure on oxygen surface exchange kinetics for different thin film oxygen electrodes (Perovskite, Fluorite and Ruddlesden-Popper structures) in R-SOCs have been investigated via an in situ optical transmission relaxation approach. The crystallization could enhance k of perovskite and RP-perovskite materials, but not for fluorite structure. Such results guide ways to optimize oxygen electrode processing for high efficient performance of oxygen electrodes, whic has been published in ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces, 11, 9, 9102-9116 (2019). Another work of “Modifying grain boundary ionic/electronic transport in nano-Sr- and Mg- doped LaGaO3-δ by sintering variations” has also seen submitted to the Journal of The Electrochemical Society.
