Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度は孤立量子系における有限時間・有限サイズの統計力学の探求という研究課題をいくつかの形で達成することができた。また、これらの知見を生かし、外界と接触した系である開放量子系についても成果を上げることができた。
まず、孤立量子系の有限時間の統計力学において、共同研究としていくつかの仕事を行なった。その一つとして、非平衡系の普遍性の側面として、古典系でよく知られた界面成長のスケーリング則の普遍性が量子多体系でも現れることを、一次元ハバード模型を用いて示した。また、孤立系の非平衡ダイナミクスにおいて現れるより厳密な結果としては、束縛ダイナミクスのエラー上限を評価した。エネルギーにバンドがあり、そのギャップが大きいような系では、例えば実効的なダイナミクス(束縛ダイナミクス)は低エネルギーバンドだけで記述されると期待される。我々はこの近似の正当性をそのエラーの上限とともに厳密に示した。
また、こうした孤立系の熱平衡化ダイナミクスの知見を生かし、開放量子多体系の非平衡ダイナミクスに関しても成果を上げることができた。その一つとして、開放多体系と関係の深い非エルミートランダム行列の普遍性についての基礎研究を行なった。Dysonはエルミートランダム行列を時間反転対称性(複素共役操作)に関して三種類のクラスに分類し、これに応じて準位間隔分布などの局所スペクトルの統計が三種類の異なる普遍性を持つことを示していた。一方、非エルミートランダム行列理論においては、統計の普遍性は時間反転対称性の有無で変化せず、そのため一種類しか知られていなかった。我々は、複素共役操作と転置操作が非エルミート系では非等価であることに注目し、転置操作に対する対称性に関するランダム行列のクラスで新しい普遍的な準位間隔分布が発現することを発見した。
