Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究は、先端産業に不可欠であり、近年、需要が急激に増大している“レアメタル”の高効率分離法を開発することを目的としている。そのために、希土類金属や貴金属など、いくつかのレアメタルをモデルに、高選択的な抽出試薬を開発し、液液抽出システムおよびその官能基の配向性を記憶させた高度反応界面を有する分離膜の創製にまで発展させる。これまで分離が難しかったレアメタルの分離回収を可能にし、未利用資源の有効利用に繋げるものである。本年度は、最も高価な貴金属であり、未だ工業的に有効な抽出剤が開発されていないロジウム(Rh)を分離対象とし、新規抽出剤の開発を行った。以下に詳細を述べる。

ここでは、アミド基と塩化物イオンを含有する一連の新規ホスホニウム型イオン液体を合成し、Rh(III)の抽出剤として応用した。合成した新規イオン液体による塩酸溶液からのRh(III)抽出特性を、市販のホスホニウム型イオン液体である[P66614][Cl]と比較し、アミド基導入の効果を検討した。結果より、新規イオン液体は市販の[P66614][Cl]よりも高いRh(III)抽出率を示し、アミド基の導入によるRh(III)抽出能の向上が確認された。特にホスホニウムと三級アミドをエチレン基で結合した新規イオン液体が最も高い抽出率を示した。0.5 Mの新規イオン液体のトルエン溶液を用いた場合、1.0 M塩酸溶液からほぼ定量的にRh(III)を抽出した。また、スロープ解析、UV-vis測定、FT-IR測定の結果から、新規イオン液体によるRh(III)抽出のメカニズムを解析した。
