Outline of Annual Research Achievements

コンゴ民主共和国ワンバ村周辺に生息する隣接3集団の野生ボノボの経産メスを対象に、常染色体上マイクロサテライト8座位の遺伝子型、およびミトコンドリアコントロール領域950baseの塩基配列からハプロタイプを決定した。また、遺伝分析の結果、および長期観察データを用い、全移籍メスに対する隣接集団に移籍するメスの割合を推定した。推定の結果、約60.2%のメスが隣接集団に移籍すると推定された。本研究結果は、国際誌「International Journal of Primatology」に受理され、オンライン出版された。
また、ウガンダ・カリンズ森林保護区内に生息する隣接2集団の野生チンパンジーのオス、コンゴ民主共和国・ルオー学術保護区内に生息する隣接3集団の野生ボノボのオスを対象に、非侵襲的に採取したDNAを用いて集団内および隣接集団の個体間血縁度を推定した。また、常染色体上マイクロサテライト8座位、Y染色体上マイクロサテライト10-12座位の分析から、隣接集団間の常染色体、Y染色体の遺伝的距離を測定した。両種において、集団内のオス間平均血縁度は集団間のそれよりも高かった。一方で、集団内のオス間平均血縁度は集団間のそれとの差は、ボノボの方がチンパンジーよりも大きかった。また、常染色体、Y染色体の遺伝的距離は、ボノボとチンパンジーの両種で同程度の値を示した。これらの結果は、ボノボの隣接集団のオス間の血縁の分化はチンパンジーと同等以上であることを示している。この結果の背景には、ボノボのオス間の繁殖成功の偏りがチンパンジーよりも大きいこと等が関係していると考えられる。両種の他集団のオスに対する攻撃性の違いは、異なる集団のオス間の血縁の分化とは別の要因によって生じていることが明らかになった。本研究結果は、国際誌「Scientific Reports」に受理され、オンライン出版された。
