Outline of Annual Research Achievements

最終年度は,上肢切断者のための電動義手をより操作者の意図通りに操作可能とするための制御手法の構築に取り組んだ.昨年度までの研究成果に基づき,本年度は実際の使用環境に近い検討を行うため,センサ数の削減と装着可能な電動義手システムの検討を行った.昨今のセンサ・処理技術の躍進に伴い注目されている皮膚表面変形という新たな生体信号に対し,原因となる体内の筋変形から体外における計測手段,更に電動義手を適用先とした場合の効果まで,実用化するために検討が必要な課題を網羅した研究を行った.従来の筋電や脳波などの電気信号を制御入力として義肢を制御する場合に比べ,筋収縮に基づく皮膚表面変形は機械的な形態変化であるため,意図する動作量を高い安定性において推定・出力可能であることを明らかにした.これまでの研究の総まとめとして,手関節1自由度に対する皮膚表面変形の利用可能性を明らかにし,他自由度における相違や電動義手以外の義肢技術,生体信号を用いるMan-Machine Interfaceへの応用など,さらなる技術の発展可能性を示し,今後の研究課題の検討を行った.なお,切断者に対する長期適用による提案手法の実用性の検討が課題として残されているが,本研究による研究成果により基礎部分が十分に検討され,結果が得られているため,今後の実証課題として同研究グループにおいて検討を進めることが可能となっている.
