Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、酵素を模倣した二座硫黄架橋構造を有するロジウム二核錯体を開発する事により、高効率な水素発生システムの実現を目的としている。昨年度までの研究成果により、thiophenolや1,2-benzenedithiolなどの二座硫黄架橋配位子を有するパドルホイール型・ハーフパドルホイール型・アンカー型ロジウム二核錯体の開発に成功している。二年度目である平成30年度は、光増感剤と昨年度までに開発したロジウム二核錯体を直接連結させた「光増感剤連結型超分子金属錯体」の開発を目指し、前駆体となる光増感剤の開発を行った。具体的には、三座配位子を有するシクロメタレート型イリジウム錯体の開発を行い、構造解析を行った。その成果として、三座配位子を有するイリジウム錯体[Ir(dpp)(tpy)]+ (dpp = 2,6-diphenylpyridine)は、一般的な二座配位子を有するシクロメタレート型イリジウム錯体と比較して、光酸化還元反応に対して安定であることが確認できた。シクロメタレート型イリジウム錯体は、一電子還元種の光励起により構造が崩壊し、光水素発生反応が持続しないことが課題であったため、本研究で開発した同イリジウム錯体により、更に高効率な光水素発生の実現が期待される。
