Outline of Final Research Achievements

In this research, we integrated our research results so far for education support tools. We developed a system for software development engineers to collect and analyze learning data in several software processes and to automatically check deliverables created by students. Then the system becomes an overall education support system for software development engineers. We also perform an effective education by collecting and analyzing actual learning data in our universities using the constructed system. The analysis result is utilized for evaluating student achievement and effects of improvement on education through feedback to students. We presented these research results in various research journals and refereed international conferences.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

本研究の成果によって,IT技術者を目指す学生や現役IT技術者を対象とする系統的な教育・訓練が可能になることが期待される.座学による教育はMOOC(オンライン教育)によっても実現できるが,実践的な演習を行うことが,高度なIT技術者を育成するには不可欠である.本システムを活用することで,演習指導者や受講者に,教育上有益な様々な情報も提供できる.本システムを活用して収集した学習データは,教育上の様々な工夫の適用効果を定量的に評価する上で重要である.学習データを分析することで学習者の能力も評価できる.その評価結果は,研究分担者(掛下)らが推進している研究においても重要なエビデンスとなっている.
