Outline of Final Research Achievements

Based on over 100 in-depth interviews, this research has explored how top female managers in Japan, the United States, and Norway have engaged in career development in order to move up to the most senior positions in their companies. The investigator has analyzed the collected data based on national differences including gendered structures in corporate opportunities, labor mobility, and family policies.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
