| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research project, built upon and critically examining the posthuman theories such as N. Kathrine Hayles (1999) and Rosi Braidotti (2013), aimed at proposing a theoretical framework of aesthetics pertaining to the age of posthumanism. Surveying the issues of posthumanism in the theoretical discussions of philosophy and aesthetics, on one hand, and in the cultural representations in art works, on the other, this research sought to illuminate the significance of posthuman theory in aesthetics and art theory, and humanities in general.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
表象文化論学会第12回大会（2017年）での研究発表パネル「エンボディード・ポストヒューマニズム」、科研費研究会「批判的ポストヒューマニティーズの射程」（2019年、関西大学)、国際学会「Posthumanities in Asia: Theories and Practices」(2019年、関西大学）の開催などを通じて、本研究の学術的意義を広く社会に問うことができた。とりわけ「Posthumanities in Asia」はロージ・ブライドッティ氏を基調講演者として迎え、ポストヒューマニズムを現代の人文学が抱える制度的・理論的な問題に接続し、アジアから問い直すことの意義を活発に議論した。
