徐家ワイ蔵書楼所蔵の日本語書籍のうち９５％は日本国内の刊行であり、残りの５％が中国刊行のものである。この中国刊行の日本語書籍のほとんどはこれまでにその存在自体が認識されていないため、文学及びそれに隣接する領域における書誌学的な学術的意義は大きい。
