This is a linguistic study of Kana Documents in Kamakura period. Kana Documents are Old Documents；written in Kana, or written in both Kana and Kanji. The purpose of this study is to clarify the significance of Kana Documents as research material. In this study, I have investigated the photographs of the original Kana Documents of 2100 copies. And I have investigated the texts of 25 literary works written from the Heian period to the Kamakura period. As a result of this study, it was found that the texts of Kana Documents have something in common with spoken language.
