| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
When it comes to Japanese learners, particularly those from countries where Kanji is used, delivering speeches or presentations often leads to the excessive use of Chinese words. For instance, they might say "(Doobutsu ga)hoofu da" instead of using a more suitable phrase like "ooi." With this in mind, our study focused on creating an e-learning resource tailored for intermediate level learners. The aim was to help them practice paraphrasing written text into spoken words that are appropriate for presentations. To achieve this, we collected and analyzed a corpus of presentations, identifying words that proved challenging or unsuitable for the audience's comprehension. The practice questions in our material required learners to paraphrase the written words using spoken language, and the correct answers were entered in hiragana. The results were largely positive, as learners became more conscious of word choice, an aspect they had previously overlooked.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
日本語学習者はプレゼンにおいて漢語など書き言葉を多用する傾向がある。プレゼンにふさわしい話し言葉への言い換え練習ができるe-learning教材を開発し、学習者が広く使えるようにしたことは、日本語教育界にとって大変意義のあることである。限られた授業時間の中で多彩なトピックに応じた言葉を指導することは困難であり、個々の学習者の努力に頼らざるを得ない。従って、内容語も含めたプレゼンにふさわしい語の習得については、まさにe-learning教材で個別学習ができる環境を整えることが重要である。また本教材は表現の多様性を身につけるという点でも、中級から上級レベルの学習者にとって意義のある練習となる。
