Outline of Final Research Achievements

This research project is an attempt to present an anthropological analysis of ethno-knowledge and its publicity in Myanmar. Outline of research achievements are as follows:
Firstly it contributed to ethnographic accumulation of Shan ethno-knowledge. Shan (Tai) people comprise one of the eight main nationalities in Myanmar. Secondarily it clarified the modern phase of ethno-knowledge publicity through co-operation with ethno-knowledge-based organizations. Thirdly it empirically discussed about relationship between majority (Bamar people, Buddhist, Burmese native speakers) and minority in Myanmar context under the political and cultural pressure of Burmanization or Myanmarization.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
