Outline of Final Research Achievements

This project focuses the uniqueness of 'South-South humanitarianism' of emerging countries. This project produced several papers on the differences between traditional donors' humanitarianism and emerging donors' humanitarianism.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

新興国の多国間援助は人道援助であるかどうかを問わず、西側諸国が作り上げた多国間援助を揺るがすのではないかとみなされてきたが、本研究では、中国・中東湾岸諸国・南アフリカにおいても、人道援助に関しては、既存の多国間援助と必ずしも異質であるとは限らないことが示唆された。新興国援助については、分野によって伝統的な援助アーキテクチャと異質もしくは調和的であり、分野ごとに検討する必要性が示唆された。
