Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research project illustrates how to identify the preference of consumers who cannot consider all (often desirable) alternatives due to several reasons (lack of willpower, abundance of alternatives etc…). Also, it demonstrates how a profit-maximizing firm chooses the lineup of its products along with its pricing to exploit such consumers.

本研究では、さまざまな理由で全ての選択肢を検討できず自身にとって望ましい選択肢を選べないような消費者の選好・行動パターンを明らかにした。またそのような消費者を搾取するような企業行動がどのようなものかを明らかにした。この解明は、より望ましい消費者保護政策を明らかにする手掛かりになると考えられる。
