| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We conducted economic experiments to test hypothesis that multiple tax increases less reduce consumption than one time tax increase. The experiments were conducted at Kansai University Center for Experimental Economics and 177 undergraduates participated in the experiments. We reported the results at Japanese Economic Association.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の結果は、消費行動が参照価格に依存することを示しており、この知見は消費に対して悪影響の少ない税率引き上げのスケジュールや税の表示方法を設定するための手がかりとなる研究である。税制の変更は日本社会に正負の両面で大きな影響を及ぼす。本研究で得られた知見は、税制変更の際の負の影響を出来るだけ抑制する点で有益な政策提言につながり、学術的のみならず社会的にも意義がある。また、本研究では実験室内で繰り返し消費活動を行う状況を再現する経済実験を実施したが、この手法によって、様々な要因、例えば貨幣錯覚などが消費活動に与える影響を経済実験によって分析できるようになると考えられる。
