Outline of Final Research Achievements

We investigated a mechanism about the effects of an optical purity of cysteine on the fluorescence properties of gold nanoclusters attached with cysteine and development of probes to discriminate optical purity.

学術的意義：チオール化合物の光学純度がナノクラスターの光学特性に影響を与えることはこれまで知られておらず，本課題研究はナノクラスターのサイエンスに新しい領域を拓く端緒となる。
社会的意義：光学異性体の化学的な反応性は互いに同じであるものの，医薬品として用いられた場合に，D体は毒性を示すことがありため，純度管理が重要である。本課題研究により生理活性物質の光学純度の管理にあたらな手法を提案する知見が得られた。
