Outline of Final Research Achievements

A purpose of the study is to perform first principle computations which are not possible due the sign problem. As specific results, we have demonstrated that tensor network method works well in lower dimensional lattice super symmetric model, finite density system and real-time path integral. Furthermore, we have developed an efficient algorithm which will be useful in future large scale simulation.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

従来の計算素粒子物理学の分野では確率的要素を含むモンテカルロ法が広く用いられてきたが、複素数の作用を持つ系では確率解釈ができないため符号問題が生じてしまい信頼できる結果を得ることが困難であった。しかし、テンソルネットワーク法は決定論的な手法であることから符号問題とは無縁であることが知られている。本研究では、低次元系においてテンソルネットワーク法が符号問題のある様々な系に対して有用であることを実証した。今後は、より現実世界に近い理論にテンソルネットワークを適応し、最終的には4次元有限密度量子色力学を目指し中性子星内部のシミュレーションを行いたい。
