Outline of Final Research Achievements |
It is guessed that dental occlusion and a masticatory function play an extremely important role to bring health and longevity. In this study, we conducted a cohort study for 15 years among elderly people of an average of approximately 65 years old to examine change general health and disease, oral health and oral function. The average of teeth loss was 3. The occlusal force decreased significantly in 15 years. Oral dysfunction at baseline was significantly associated with the onset of heart disease after 15 years.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
