| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We conducted a narrative approach made from previous studies for terminally ill patients at home hospice. Their spirituality and hope tended to increase and physical symptoms decreased. From analysis of narratives, patients integrated Self-concept with Self-ideal, resulting in finding hope. A narrative approach for family care givers suggested useful to increase their QOL. Their regilience was promoted, resulting in increasing QOL through a narrative approach. Selecting question items, we developed narrative programs.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
患者を対象としたナラティヴ・アプローチの完遂率は83％であり、実施可能性を示した。質問紙の結果から、患者のスピリチュアルケアや希望の向上として可能性、患者のQOL向上の有効性、精神的問題の軽減の可能性などが客観的に示された。これらのことからナラティヴ・アプローチが在宅ホスピスを利用する患者と家族に適用でき、精神的心理的側面のケアとして有効であることを示唆できたことは、学術的に意義深いと考えられる。また患者は、自己理想と自己概念を一致させていくことで今後の希望を見出し、家族は語りからレジリエンスを高めていくという心理過程を経ることが明らかすることができたことは意義深いと考えられる。
