Outline of Final Research Achievements

We developed a behavioral task that can clearly distinguish between task periods and rest periods for mice. It was difficult to define the rest periods in freely moving mice, though we established a new task that can easily define the rest periods using electromyogram (EMG) feedback system under head-fixed conditions. Our task could be exploited in future efforts to reveal the default mode network of rodent.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
