In order to reveal the traditional design method against enviromnmental condition and natural disaster in fisherman settlements , the study analysis three settlement: 1) Osuhama in Ishinomaki city Miyagi prefecture; 2) Nesaki in Rikuzentakata city Iwate prefecture; 3) Yukicho in Kumano city Mie prefecture.
The first and the second research present the spatial composition against the Tsunami remained settlements and the feature of the traditional land use. In addition, the third research reveal the feature of the development trend in Mie coast area.
