| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study explores how to create sustainable sporting events by a mixed-method approach using interview investigation and questionnaire survey for event organizers and event participants. As a results, sufficient safety event management and marketing activities for participants to experience local culture, natural features, and food were important factors for sustainable sporting event.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究で研究対象としたスポーツイベントは、定期的に実施可能なノン・メガスポーツイベントであり、大都市ではなくとも開催可能であることから、地方における地域活性化装置の一つとして注目を集めるコンテンツである。本研究で行った持続可能なノン・メガスポーツイベントの先行要因の特定は、持続可能なスポーツイベントのあり方を複数の視点から明らかにしており、今後のノン・メガスポーツイベントのあり方に重要な示唆を与えている。本研究結果が、スポーツイベントを通じた持続可能な地域振興のあり方に繋がっていくことが期待される。
