| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
MICE industry produces not only huge economic ripple impact, but also acknowledge as helping destination gain a better tourism image. Even though Japanese government has begun MICE promotion activities, researches on MICE industry are still limited and just get started in Japan.This study is to clarify what kinds of factors are important to attract international conventions for Japanese researchers.The findings of this study not only make clear of important factors, but also aim at sharing results with researchers who have similar interest in convention industry.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の目的は、国際間競争が激化している国際会議誘致に焦点をあて、国際会議主催者の開催地選定基準を明らかにしている。国際会議誘致においては、観光庁や日本政府観光局をはじめとした諸々の取り組みがあるが、国内の主催者が国際会議を主催する際の開催地選定基準については解明されていない。本研究において、国際会議主催者の開催地選定基準の重要度を明らかにすることにより、国内での国際会議誘致活動の際の参考になるため、学術的意義を有している。さらに本研究成果は、訪日外客数拡大を図るべき日本政府が推進するインバウンド観光の発展に寄与するもので社会的意義を有している。
