Outline of Final Research Achievements |
From academic year 2017 through academic year 2021, I have investigated a firm's optimal R&D investment strategy and a patent policy design for maximizing social welfare. In particular, I extended the analysis to R&D competition and licensing contract problem under asymmetric information and discussed them from a various perspective. As a result, I was able to get 5 papers published from peer-reviewed international academic journals. In addition, I have given 23 presentations in total; 13 presentations at international academic conferences and 10 presentations at domestic academic conferences.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
European Journal of Operational Researchから2018年に出版された論文では、特許の確率的有効性と特許権侵害と判明されたときの罰金というの二つのチャンネルを用いて政策を設計し、社会的厚生が最大化される特許政策を導出した。また、International Review of Economics and Financeから2019年に出版された論文では、特許制度に加え、R&D補助金が非対称の下でのR&D競争に与える影響を明らかにした。このような議論は、特許当局の制度整備時の理論的根拠として用いられると期待される。
