| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study analyzed trends in Japanese style unit learning, project-based learning, and new subject development as case studies. It then analyzed the perception of "curriculum awareness" held by schoolteachers involved in these educational practices. The following points could be clarified as a result of this study; (1) the nature of the concept of "curriculum awareness", (2) the reality of teachers' learning that promotes the formation of "curriculum awareness", and (3) the reality of teachers' "transformative agency" as a condition for creating "curriculum awareness".

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究の成果は、第一には、これからの学校において広く実践されていく可能性のある単元開発やプロジェクト型学習、教育課程特例校制度等を活用した新教科開発について、とりわけそれらの営みを支える教師の認識や学びという観点から、理論的な知見を提供するものである。しかし、「カリキュラム意識」という概念を明確化できたことによって、これまでにはない新しいタイプの教育実践を創り出していく「教える人」の認識のあり方の研究や、そうした人々の実践にも理論的に寄与し得る成果が得られた。
