本研究において、血管新生能が高いマウスのエクソソームに内包されている複数のmicroRNAは、血管新生能が低いマウスを用いた下肢虚血モデルの血流を改善したことから、microRNAは核酸医薬としての可能性があることを示唆した結果である。
