Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study was to develop a program to support new ICU nurses in improving their nursing practice ability based on the Transitions Theory. The first step was to conduct an interview survey of ICU nurses to clarify the transition status of new ICU nurses, the turning points necessary for healthy transitions, and the factors that promote transitions. Then, from group interviews with nurses involved in supporting the education of new ICU nurses, we clarified what support is possible through on-the-job training and what factors hinder such support. Based on these findings, the framework for a program to support new ICU nurses in improving their nursing practice ability was developed.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
