| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The purpose of this study is to shed the light on a historical narrative of local communities in Guangxi Province from viewpoints of disturbances and a natural disaster.
Since April 2017, while I paid a special attention to output my work for foreign researchers. For example, I reported my study at national conferences held at Zhejiang Province, China (PRC), September 2017, and Washington D. C., March 2018. In addition to this, my article will be appeared in an academic journal in Japanese during 2020.

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
本研究課題は、日本国内で研究蓄積が十分ではなかった近現代の広西省における地域史叙述を再検討した。その結果、20世紀初頭の広西省では、自然災害に対する国際的な救援活動が行われたことを紹介することができた。
日本も数多くの自然災害に見舞われた。しかし、災禍に見舞われるたびに、国際的な支援の手が被災者や政府に向けて差し伸べられたことは記憶に新しい。こうした災害救援の歴史を紐解くことは、グローバル社会における異文化理解にも直結するばかりでなく、災害救済活動が政治・外交・思想・地域社会にどのような影響を与えたのかを解明する手掛かりになるように思われる。
