Outline of Final Research Achievements

Defining the problem and thinking of a solution to the problematic situation in front of them is a necessary problem-solving skill for engineers today. This study defines this as User-Centered Engineering (UCE) skills, and designed a UCE education program that incorporates "skills to change perspectives" and "skills to find and the understand situation from subjects at hand" that are elements of design education.
Using UX design techniques, we developed a "Learning Experience Map" to visualize the learner's experience. The degree to which the educational content and the learner's perspective learning matched was quantitatively evaluated by text mining. While actually implementing the four-year educational program, we were able to improve it as a more effective educational program from the learner's perspective.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements
