Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Research studies on "Presence Africaine" (PA), a black culture magazine that influenced the African independence movements, were conducted in France and African countries and their findings were presented in international symposiums (in 2017and 2019) and as special features in conference journals (in 2018 and 2020). In particular, the 2017 international symposium held at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of PA’s publication, A study on "Presence Africaine : Towards New Political and Cultural Perspectives Identities, memories and resistances between Africa, Europe and the Americas from colonization to post-colony," was an attempt to reenact the spirits of the Congress of Black Writers and Artists held by PA in 1956 in the post-Cold War days. The achievements of this symposium were publicised as a special feature in the 198th issue of PA.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
