Research Abstract

本研究では、マイクロホローカソード放電プラズマの生成および誘電体バリア放電などのマイクロプラズマを用いた空気あるいは液体の殺菌・滅菌技術の開発を目的としている。平成19年度では、18年度の基礎的な研究成果を踏まえて、マイクロホローカソード放電のマルチホール化への展開とマイクロホローカソードアレイの各種応用を目指した研究を実施した。以下に、平成19年度における主な研究成果を列記する。
(1)印加する高電圧の波形を矩形波とした交流駆動による誘電体バリア放電モードからマイクロホローカソード放電モードへの遷移を利用することにより、同様にしてマイクロホロー放電開始電圧を約1kV低減できること、マルチアレイ構造の均一放電を実現できることを示した。
(2)また、空気中での誘電体バリア放電により発生するオゾンの効果と窒素分子励起による紫外線放射の効果を調べるために、窒素および酸素のガス流量比を変化させた場合の紫外線発光強度とオゾン濃度との関係、および滅菌特性との関係について検討を行った。さらに、大気中放電における水蒸気添加の効果、即ちOHラジカルの不活化効果についても検討を行った。
(3)フレキシブルなシート状誘電体バリア放電を提案し、その検証実験を行った。窒素と酸素の混合比を変化させることにより、紫外線とオゾンの不活化効果の比較検討を行うとともに、湿度65.7%の大気中における実験の結果、5分間のDBDプラズマ処理時で不活化できることを実証した。
(4)研究成果の発表:上記研究で得られた成果は、学術論文に10件、国際会議に9件、国内学会において8件発表を行った。また、プラズマ滅菌に関する特許出願を1件行った。
