Research Abstract

本研究課題では、化学的刺激(湿度、ガス吸着、有機分子包接、イオン交換など)に応答する新奇機能性材料の化学的合成を目的としている。本年度は、セシウムイオンやアルコール分子を含むシアノ架橋型金属錯体の合成と物性評価を行った。
Cs_3[W^v(CN)_8]・2H_2OとCuCl_2・2H_2Oを水中で反応させると、Cs^Icu^<II>[W^v(CN)_8]・0.5H_2O結晶が得られる。Cs^Icu^<II>[W^v(CN)_8]・0.5H_2Oは、Cu-W二重層とセシウムイオン層が交互積層した構造をとっていることがX線結晶構造解析から明らかになった。磁気物性を調べたところ、40Kで磁気相転移し、Cu-W二重層内は強磁性的にふるまっていることが分かった。また、Cu-W二重層間には、弱磁場では反強磁性相互作用が、強磁場下では強磁性相互作用が働く二次元メタ磁性体であることがわかった。二重層と二重層の間の磁気双極子-双極子相互作用を考慮した計算からも、スピンフリップ転移前後共に、層内c軸方向にスピンが向いていることが示唆された。
Cs_3[W^v(CN)_8]・2H_2OとCuCl_2・2H_2Oをピリミジン共存化で2-propanolまたは1-butanol中で策形成を行うと、溶媒として用いた2-propanolまたは1-butanolを含んだ三次元ネットワーク錯体Cu^<II>_3[W^v(CN)_8]_2(pyrimidine)_2・2-propanol・6H_2O, Cu^<II>_3[W^v(CN)_8]_2(pyrimidine)_2・1-butanol・5H_2Oが得られることがX線結晶構造解析から得られることがわかった。また、磁化測定より、これらの錯体はそれぞれT_cが8.2K,8.4Kのフェリ磁性体であることがわかった。これらの錯体は、2-propanolや1-butanolといった比較的大きな分子を取り込んでいながらも、磁気秩序を持った珍しい磁性体である。
