強相関電子系におけるリング交換がもたらすエキゾティックな量子現象の理論的研究

Research Abstract

強相関電子系である銅酸化物高温超電導体やスピンラダー系において、各正方形プラケット上ではたらく量子スピン間のリング交換相互作用が引き起こす新奇な現象について、数値的厳密対角化と有限サイズスケーリングを用いて理論的に研究した。その結果、以下のような現象が起きることが理論的に予測された。
銅酸化物高温超伝導体の電荷ストライプ
銅酸化物高温超伝導体の伝導面であるCu02面の性質を理論的に記述するt-J模型の数値的厳密対角化により、リング交換が十分大きい場合には、中性子散乱やSTMで観測されている電荷ストライプが起こりえることが判明した。とくにリング交換があまり強くない場合は斜め方向の電荷ストライプが、リング交換が非常に強い場合には縦・横の電荷ストライプが生じることも判明し、定性的な理論相図を得た。
・スピンラダー系の磁場誘起非整合秩序
スピンラダー系に十分強いリング交換が働くとき、その磁化過程では、飽和磁化の半分のところに磁化プラトーが出現することが予測されていたが、その磁化プラトーの前後付近に新しく非整合秩序相が現れることを理論的に示した。この磁場誘起非整合秩序は、従来の反強磁性秩序と共存する可能性があり、共存する場合にはマグノンのスーパーソリッド相となる。今後はこの共存の可能性を明らかにすることが重要となる。
