Research Abstract

生体が、DNA の塩基配列情報を読み取り、タンパク質や他の分子からなるナノ構造体をつくり、それを見事に配置していくプロセスと同様に、DNA をベースにして配線の鋳型をつくり、ナノスケール分子デバイスのプロトタイプを形成するナノサイエンスの確立を本研究の目的とした。本グループが世界をリードしている高分解能走査プローブ顕微鏡を発展させたナノポア型SPM により微細なナノ構造を観察・制御し、ダイナミックにフィールドバックしながら研究を進めると同時に、ナノメートル精度の分子の位置決めにトップダウンの超微細加工技術をとりいれ、分子デバイス形成に向けたDNA ナノデバイスサイエンスを進めた。
