Research Abstract

カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)における超伝導転移の再現性と転移温度(Tc)の向上を目指した研究を行った。この結果、レーザー蒸発法を使って触媒を介した単層CNTへのホウ素ドープに成功し、ホウ素が炭素原子を置換していることを核磁気共鳴や共鳴ラマン散乱で証明した。また、その単層ナノチューブを精製しシリコン基板上に高均一で集積し薄膜構造にした試料においてTc=12Kのマイスナー効果を発見することに成功し、ホウ素ドープ量とマイスナー効果との相関を解明した。さらに、as-grownの単層CNTロープを強い超音波洗浄で完全に分散し基板上に集積・薄膜化した試料に数10Mパスカルの圧力を印加することでTcを19Kまで上昇させることに成功した。また、このTc上昇がCNT固有のフォノンであるRadial Breathing Modeの圧力印加による周波数上昇に起因していることを圧力依存共鳴ラマン散乱の実験から明らかにした。これらにより、今後のCNT超伝導研究の発展への大きな道筋をつけた。
