Research Abstract

量子ドットの形状、サイズ、歪みなどのパラメータを制御できるInAs/GaAs量子ドット結晶成長方法を開発し、量子ドットの波長、寿命時間、偏光特性などの光学的特性の制御を可能とした。さらに、多層化した量子ドットを分布反射鏡に挟んだ垂直共振器型光変調器構造を実現し、この構造の超高速全光変調デバイスとしての可能性を実証した。
