Research Abstract

メラニン色素が皮膚や毛髪に沈着するためには、細胞内を正しく輸送される必要がある。本研究では、メラニン色素の輸送を行う制御蛋白質(低分子量G蛋白質Rab27AやRab27Aを不活性化する酵素Rab27A-GAPなど)を同定し、それらの機能を生化学・細胞生物学・分子イメージング・構造学など様々なアプローチで解析することにより、メラニン色素の輸送の仕組みを分子レベルで理解することが可能となった。
