Research Abstract

ハンタウイルスは持続感染齧歯類が感染源となる人獣共通感染症でヒトに腎症候性出血熱やハンタウイルス肺症候群という重篤な疾病を引き起こす。齧歯類は血中に高い中和抗体を保有しつつ不顕性にウイルスを排泄し続けるというきわめて特徴的な持続感染を成立させている。本研究では齧歯類におけるウイルス特異的CTL抑制を中心とする免疫抑制を介したハンタウイルス持続感染成立機構の詳細を明らかにすることを目的とする。
