Research Abstract

ミズナラ林下の褐色森林土とシラカシ林下の淡色黒ボク土において、アクリル製の模擬温暖化チャンバー(赤外線による照射区を含む)を設置し、主に、土壌有機物の動態を解析した。その結果、とくに冷温帯の褐色森林土で土壌有機物量の明瞭な減少(地温上昇に伴う土壌呼吸量の増大を伴う)と化学構造の変化が認められた。このことは、今後の地球温暖化により森林生態系の重要な要素である土壌自体が変化する可能性を示唆している。
