Research Abstract |
本研究は、放射線によるゲノム不安定化がいかにして子孫細胞に伝搬されるのかを明らかにするものである。放射線に被ばくしていないヒト染色体をマウス細胞に移入して得られた12種の細胞では、染色体構造異常頻度が10%を越える細胞は1つも無かった(0%)。一方、被ばくしたヒト染色体をマウス細胞に移入して得られた19種の細胞では、染色体構造異常が10%を越える細胞は8種(42%)みられた。また、予め再構成がある染色体は、被ばくすると不安定化しやすいことが分かった。以上の結果は、放射線により被ばく染色体に不安定化の原因が付与され、それ自身がゲノム不安定化を子孫細胞に伝搬すること、また、予め再構成が生じている染色体は被ばく後不安定化するポテンシャルが大きいことを示唆している。
