Research Abstract

本研究では,琵琶湖・淀川水系におけるエンドトキシン濃度分布を調査し,下水処理放流水が水系内汚染源となりうること,またラン藻類の一種( Synechococcus 属)が水系内のエンドトキシンの変動に寄与する可能性を示した。浄水プロセスにおける挙動を調べた結果,高度処理された浄水中にも約10 EU/mL のエンドトキシンが残存した。また,下水処理放流水相当の濃度で細胞生存率が約80%に低下した他,遺伝子/タンパク質レベルでIL-8 の発現量が増大した。
