Research Abstract |
水や土壌中などに残留するポリ塩化ビフェニル(PCB)の汚染除去には、ビフェニル分解微生物を用いた生物的環境浄化が有効である.本研究では、PCB 分解細菌Pseudomonas sp. KKS102 株の分解酵素系タンパク質BphA1~A4 遺伝子を光合成微生物であるシアノバクテリア(ラン藻)に組み込んで、これまで困難であった貧栄養環境下でも光エネルギーを用いてビフェニル化合物を分解できる新規光合成微生物を創出した.
