Research Abstract

環境診断技術においては、窒素循環(アンモニア→亜硝酸、亜硝酸→硝酸)の測定方法を新たに確立し、バクテリア量解析と併せ、土壌精密診断技術(窒素物質循環)を完成させた。本診断技術により、100サンプルを超えるデータベース作成を行った。
窒素循環においては、アンモニアが蓄積する傾向があることを見出し、律速となっている反応を明らかにした。さらに、その反応に関与する微生物の分離・同定を行った。また、当該微生物を投与することにより、窒素循環が顕著に活性化することを示し、窒素物質循環の促進が可能であることを明らかとした。
一方、環境浄化・改善・保全においては、石油汚染土壌の浄化を中心に取り組んだ。具体的には、バイオモニタリングに基づき、石油分解菌を投与し、また制御することにより、半年程度要していた処理を2カ月程度まで短縮できた。最終的に、バイオモニタリングに基づいた高効率バイオレメディエーションシステムを完成させた。
