Research Abstract

何桁にも及ぶラマン散乱増強を制御された形で実現できれば、現在の蛍光標識に頼った生化学分析手法を根本から変革できる可能性がある。本研究では、基板表面上にアレイ化されたナノサイズのプラズモン共振器(幅7~10nm、深さ5~50nm)を作製し、約4000倍のラマン増強を観測した。さらなる最適化により、7桁程度のラマン増強も可能と期待される。また、研究の過程で、ラマン散乱以外にも様々な光学過程が増強されることがわかり、熱放射増強効果を利用した赤外光源を新たに開発した。
