| Research Abstract |
本研究では、日本古典文学の基盤をなす、王朝文芸の享受史について、文学史的な観点にとどまらず、美術史学的・歴史学的な観点なども視野に収めつつ、ひろく日本文化史を通観した。とくにニューヨーク・パブリック・ライブラリとメトロポリタン美術館およびバーク・コレクション、ダブリンのチェスタービーティー・ライブラリ、パリ国立図書館など、在外のコレクションに秘蔵されている図像資料の調査研究において大きな成果を得ることができた。
