Research Abstract

超短パルスレーザー光を固体表面に照射することで、固体構成原子を揃って運動させることができる。このとき、光パルスを2度照射することで、原子振動の振幅の大きさを制御することができた。特に半導体単結晶(CdTe)を用いた実験では、フェムト秒の時間分解能を持ったX線回折測定を実現し、サブピコ秒(1ピコ秒は1兆分の1秒)で振動する原子振動を直性計測し、その原子変位の大きさ求めることに成功した。
