| Research Abstract |
直鎖状に供与原子が配列した四座ホスフィンを合成し、それらを用いて種々の低原子価金属種との反応により1~2 nm の大きさを持つ様々な形状の遷移金属クラスターの合成を行い、詳細な構造や物性を明らかにするとともに、多金属中心の協同効果に基づく現象の発現や量子ユニット創製のための端緒を得るべく基礎的研究を行った。特に、白金やパラジウムでは直鎖状クラスター(Pt_6, Pd_8)を、また、金、銀、銅の貨幣金属を用いた場合には環状クラスター(Au_6,Au_6Cu_2, Au_4Cu_4, Au_4Ag_2Cu_2)を構築することができ、分子レベルでの構造や物性を明らかにするとともに、これらを構造単位としたナノ構造構築を目指し研究を行った。
