Research Abstract

有機トランジスタは、大面積な基板やフレキシブル基板などの上に、印刷のような簡単な方法で作成できる可能性から注目を集めているが、p型では良い材料がたくさんあるのに対して、n型を示す材料が少なく、かつn型有機トランジスタは通常の雰囲気下では不安定な場合が多いことが問題になっている。そこで本研究では、純有機物よりも酸化還元電位の制御しやすい金属錯体(ニッケルジチオラート錯体)用いてn型有機トランジスタを作成し、特にフッ素やトリフルオロメチル基をもった錯体において空気中に1ヶ月以上おいても動作する材料を見出した。また金属と錯体を作る強い電子受容体であるジシアノキノンジイミン(DCNQI)を用いて、空気中で安定に0.011cm^2/Vs程度の移動度を示すn型トランジスタを作成した。バルキーなt-ブチル置換したhexamethyleneTTF(HMTTF)を合成し、単結晶で2.3cm^2/Vs、薄膜で0.98cm^2/Vsという移動度(p型)を実現した。テトラチアペンタレン(TTP)系有機半導体を用いた有機トランジスタや、溶液法で0.11cm^2/Vs程度の性能を示すアルキル置換DibeozoTTF(DBTTF)を開発した。高伝導の電荷移動錯体(TTF)(TCNQ)は電極材料として優れており、低接触抵抗を示すため特にボトムコンタクト型で有用であることを明らかとした。これを用いてp型としてDBTTF、n型としてDCNQIを例に、金属電極/有機半導体の界面ポテンシャルの系統性について検討を行った。界面における低接触抵抗を示す電極材料としてカーボンを用いて、SAMsやレーザーを用いてパターニングを行った有機トランジスタの開発を行った。
