Research Abstract |
光照射により可逆的に色変化を伴い分子構造変化を起こすジアリールエテンの結晶表面が可逆的な表面形状変化をする現象を研究してきた。表面に現れる凸凹の形状は、ジアリールエテンの閉環体および開環体の結晶形に由来するものであり、ジアリールエテン誘導体により異なることがわかった。またその表面形状は自己相似性であるフラクタルであった。温度を変えて形成した表面形状をフラクタル解析することにより、凸凹のサイズが0.01μmから45μmのスケール範囲でフラクタル次元が高いことが、超撥水性の発現に重要であることを見出した。
